WHY DID WE SET UP:
To support others effected with Congenital Heart Disease 

 

DO WE SUPPORT ALL AGES? 

Yes we can support all ages, from the time the parents are infromed, up until the age of 18 years old. 

 

Details/History/Archive of King-Elyon:

  • 2003 - born 6 weeks premature 
  •          - 1 st heart operation at 2 days old with an external ( then with an internal at 5 days old)
  • 2003 - 2rd operation (developed NEC due to pre-mature, had to wear a stoma bag for 18months..his first poo was at 18months..)
  • 2005 - 3th heart operation (Transvenous VV1 Pacemaker)
  • 2007 - 4th heart operation (New RV LEAD)
  • 2008 - 5th heart operation (DDD Pacemaker upgrade) (also was on the heart transplant list @ GOSH 
  • 2010 - 6th heart operation (Upgrade to Transvenous CRT-P System)
  • 2016 7th heart operation (21st December 2016) (DDD - A new pacemaker box/battery)

 

Archive on King-Elyon:

  • Born March 2003 (1st heart operation at 2 days old) 
  • Medical history child (has had 7 operations)                                        
  • His case saved – (Royal Brompton Hospital from closing down after a 7yr battle)
  • Youngest patient on the NHS to receive a pacemaker at 2days old
  • His case is in the NHS 60TH Anniversary booklet
  • Case so server he was on GOSH Heart transplant list (2010)
  • London Tonight News (Aired his story twice)
  • Daily Mail Newspaper
  • Daily Express Newspaper
